What is WP32?

The WP32 approval letter is a document issued by the Ministry of Labour of Thailand. It confirms permission for a foreigner to apply for a work permit.

Who has to apply for WP32?

The application must be submitted by the Thai employer. Foreign employees cannot apply for this document themselves.

Where is WP32 applied for?

Employers submit their application to the Department of Employment, part of the Ministry of Labour.

How does the procedure work?

• The employer submits an application to the Ministry of Labour.
• The application is reviewed and approved.
• The WP32 letter is issued.
• The employee uses the WP32 letter when applying for a Non-Immigrant B visa.
• After arrival in Thailand the employee can obtain a work permit.

Exceptions

Japanese nationals are exempt from submitting a WP32 document when applying for a Non-Immigrant B visa.
