The visa must be used within a period of 72 hours from the date of issue and gives the holder the option of staying in the country for 7 days from the date of issue. This visa can be extended once for the same period.

Processing time at the consulate:

Standard procedure: 2 business days, after giving the biometric data

Angolan and Dutch national holidays do not count as working days!

Warnings

  • Processing of your visa application:

    • You email all the documents below to us
    • We check all documents at the consulate of Angola
    • Once all documents have been approved by the consulate, we will make in agreement with you an appointment for you at the consulate
    • After your appointment for the biometrics at the consulate, we check daily whether your visa has been issued by the consulate from Angola
    • Once the visa has been approved, we will collect your passport with the visa
    • After we have the passport in our possession again, you can collect your passport from us or we will send it back or we can also leave it at Schiphol.

The documents that are required for your visa

  • One color passport photo.
  • Note that these photos are according to the Dutch standard of ‘passport photo’, that is to say, looking forward, white background, do not laugh and do not show teeth.
  • Wearing glasses in the photo is not permitted
  • Nine times out of ten, the consulate does not accept a photo from your own printer. If you do so, make sure you use gloss paper and there are no stripes visible from the print.
  • Do not staple the photo to the application form, but rather use a Pritt stick. If you do not have a Pritt stick, please include your loose photo and we will attach it to the form for you.
  • Do not stick the photos with adhesive tape

Other conditions that you must pay extra attention to:

  • The photos may not be older than 3 months
  • The photos may not be the same as on the passport unless the passport is not older than 3 months
  • The photos must have a white background.
  • A copy of the passport of the applicant
  • Note that you also need to provide the original passport as requested on this page
  • A booking confirmation of your flight (return ticket)
  • The consulate wants to see when you enter the country and go out again
  • It may be a booking for a flight, bus, train, boat
  • Your name must be mentioned on it
  • The consulate must recognize the confirmation as being that it comes from a travel agency or an airline.
  • A confirmation of a flight by a customer of your will not be accepted because the consulate will say that anyone can do this. Think of logos, photos or other features that an official confirmation of an airline by mail in general meets

  • Everything you write on it on the order form will appear on the invoice
  • Please, fill in your address completely, such as your street name, house number, postcode and city. We need the full address for the invoicing and return address
  • We will need your e-mail address for when your visa application has been accepted by the consulate, we will send you an invoice by e-mail the same day.
  • You must transfer the invoice amount to us on the same day with I-Deal or bank transfer so that we have the amount on our bank before we collect your passport with a visa at the consulate.
  • Your telephone number or numbers where we can always reach you in case your documents are not complete or when the diplomat wants to view additional documents.

  • You must answer all questions online
  • This is the original application form that the consulate uses for its visa procedure
  • Please print out and place your signature on the last page, the colors of the print may only be black or dark blue. Other colors are not allowed
  • A signature cannot be scanned
  • A signature may only be placed with the colors black or dark blue. Other colors are not allowed.

For the visa application, you must be vaccinated against yellow fever. You must enclose a copy of the yellow booklet, within the valid stamp that you have been vaccinated against yellow fever.

Our advice: ask the GGD or your doctor whether further vaccinations are needed for this country. But for the visa application is the vaccination against yellow fever sufficient.

Please note, you send us a copy of the passport, but when you have to appear before the appointment at the consulate to issue your bio-metric, you must physically bring your passport and leave it during the duration of your visa application procedure. These are 3 or 5 business days. After the procedure, we will collect your passport with a visa from the consulate. After we have collected your passport (with the visa), you can collect your passport from us or we will send it to you.


  • The consulate must have your passport physically, so no copy
  • Your passport must still be valid for at least 6½ months after the validity of the visa (ie one and a half year valid if it is an annual visa).
  • The passport must contain four blank pages next to each other.

The letter must meet the following conditions:

  • Explanation and guarantee of the company who is inviting you in Angola
  • The type of visa requested
  • Purpose of the visit
  • Details and a small description of the type of activity or trade of the Angolan company
  • Personal data of the applicant: a.) the profession b.) the position that will be fulfilled in Angola c.) the project that will be implemented, etc.
  • Dates of the planned stay and place of residence of the applicant

Additional documents from Angola:

  • In case the sponsor is an Angolan citizen: a copy of his or her national identity document (front and back)
  • If the applicant is not an Angolan citizen:
    1. Copy of the passport
    2. And a copy of residence permit (front-side and back-side)

If the applicant is applying for a visa for Angola for the first time, you also need the following additional documents from Angola:

  • Chamber of Commerce (Alvará)
  • Copy of the Registration in the Government Gazette of Angola (Diário da República)
  • Document of Overview of Income (DAR)
  • Commercial license (if applicable).
