The documents that are required for your visa

The following travel purposes also fall under this business visa;

  • **Journalists
  • Religious purposes
  • Educational purposes.

**Pay attention; all applications from journalists require approval from the Federal Ministry of Information, Abuja.

To obtain a multiple/multiple entry visa, you must provide proof of a previously, used Nigerian visa. If you do not have an old, used visa, you will not be eligible for a multiple entry visa this trip.

A copy of the visa will suffice.

*If the old visa is in an old/other passport, please also provide a copy of the information page of your old/other passport.

To obtain the visa, you must fill in the application form.

  • Your passport.
  • We need to have the passport physically, so no copy.
  • Your passport must still be valid for at least 6½ months after the validity of the visa (ie one and a half year valid if it is an annual visa).
  • The passport must have at least two blank facing visa pages.
  • Two (2 x) color passport photos.
  • Note that these photos are according to the Dutch standard of ‘passport photo’, that is to say, looking forward, white background, do not laugh and do not show teeth.
  • Wearing glasses in the photo is not permitted
  • Nine times out of ten, the consulate does not accept a photo from your own printer. If you do so, make sure you use gloss paper and there are no stripes visible from the print.
  • Do not staple the photo to the application form, but rather use a Pritt stick. If you do not have a Pritt stick, please include your loose photo and we will attach it to the form for you.
  • Do not stick the photos with adhesive tape

Other conditions that you must pay extra attention to:

  • The photos may not be older than 3 months
  • The photos may not be the same as on the passport unless the passport is not older than 3 months
  • The photos must have a white background.

An invitation letter from the inviting company/institute/religious group from Nigeria.

 

Together with the invitation, you will receive the company registration of the inviting company (of which possible).

 

The following points must be mentioned in the invitation letter;

  • Be written on company paper.
  • The letter must be written in English.
  • Include the applicant’s name and passport information.
  • Specify the reason for the trip.
  • State the activities.
  • Include the required duration of the visa.
  • Indicate the desired number of visits to Nigeria.
  • The manager/company leader must sign the letter and provide it with a company stamp.

A guarantee letter from your/Dutch company. The letter must state the following points;

  • Addressed to the Embassy of Nigeria in The Hague;

  • The guarantee letter must be written in English!
  • Name of the company.
  • The question with a request to issue a visa.
  • Data of the traveling person (name as in passport, date of birth, nationality, passport number and validity dates).
  • Position within the company and date of commencement of activities.
  • Naming the inviting company.
  • The reason for the journey.
  • The number of entries with the dates of the entries and exits.
  • The validity of the visa.
  • Name the places that are visited.
  • Guarantee for any costs.
  • This letter must be signed by a manager or director.
  • This letter must be printed on company letterhead or otherwise with a stamp of your company.
  • A booking confirmation of your flight (return ticket)
  • The consulate wants to see when you enter the country and go out again
  • It may be a booking for a flight, bus, train, boat
  • Your name must be mentioned on it
  • The consulate must recognize the confirmation as being that it comes from a travel agency or an airline.
  • A confirmation of a flight by a customer of your will not be accepted because the consulate will say that anyone can do this. Think of logos, photos or other features that an official confirmation of an airline by mail in general meets
  • Our advice, make sure you take out cancellation insurance when purchasing your flight. In the event that you do not receive your visa, you will not suffer any financial

If you are Dutch, you do not need additional documents.

For the EU or Schengen country nationalities:

If nationality comes from an EU or Schengen country (not for a Dutch passport), you must show that you are registered in the Netherlands.
You have two options;

  • Option 1: a copy of the front- and backside of your residence permit.
  • Option 2: a copy of the extract from the population register (GBA).

3.)

Other nationalities from outside the EU or Schengen countries:

  • You need a copy of your Dutch residence permit’s front- and back-side for all nationalities from outside the EU and Schengen countries.
