Ghana volunteer visa – we apply for the visa on your behalf

We apply for the Ghana volunteer visa for you. You send your documents to VisumService.nl and we file your application at the Embassy of Ghana in The Hague (Laan Copes van Cattenburch 70).

With a Dutch passport you need a visa for Ghana. Your passport must still be valid for at least 6 months when you leave Ghana.
For the application a copy of the yellow-fever booklet is required (valid stamp).
The invitation from Ghana needs a full address including the Digital GhanaPost Address.

Regular procedure: if the application is accepted on Tuesday, the visa can be collected on Friday a week later. Rush: accepted Tuesday, collect that same Friday.

How it works

You complete the online form and upload the scans.
We check and email whether it is correct, or what must be changed.
Then we need originals: passport, one colour photo, and the order form (we email that).
We file the application at the consulate.

Passport

You upload a scan of the passport in the form; we ask for the original later (see How it works).
We need the passport physically, not a copy.
Still valid for at least 6½ months after the visa expires.
Two facing blank visa pages.

Passport photo

One colour passport photo (Dutch standard).
We ask for the original later (see How it works).

Flight

Return booking in your name.
The booking must be recognisable as coming from an airline or travel agent.

Hotel

Booking confirmation of one or two hotels.
Two hotel addresses are asked for on the application form; the address of the organisation may be one of them.
Every address includes the Digital GhanaPost Address.

Yellow fever

Copy of the yellow booklet with a valid stamp.

Description or organisation

Going via an organisation: an invitation letter from Ghana is required.
Going independently: your own English description of what you will do, where, in which period, your contact details and your signature.
A CV is not mandatory for volunteer work.

Invitation letter (if you go via an organisation)

The invitation must be signed by two authorised persons.
The address contains street + house number, city and the Digital GhanaPost Address.
Someone who is in Ghana on a visa (no residence permit) may not invite.
