A Schengen visa therefore does not apply to Ireland.<\/strong> Whether you need a visa depends on your nationality. A Dutch residence permit does not automatically lift the visa requirement.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"vs-ie-cards\"><div class=\"vs-ie-card\"><strong>Dutch \/ EU passport<\/strong><p>With a Dutch, EU, EEA or Swiss passport you typically do not need a visa for a short stay.
